8 oz. elbow macaroni
½ lb. grated cheddar cheese
2 cups milk
1 egg
¼ cup unsalted butter
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain & cool. Place layer of macaroni in greased baking dish. Then add a layer of cheese.
Repeat layers until all pasta and cheese are used up.
Combine milk & egg & pour over casserole. Dot with pieces of butter. (This can be done day before & refrigerated.)
Bake for 25-35 minutes, until bubbling and brown.
