2 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons bacon drippings
1 pint oysters, reserve liquid
Salt and pepper
1 cup Half and Half
1 egg yolk
6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
Crisp buttered toasts
Blend flour in with bacon drippings until well blended. Add oyster liquid and stir until smooth, add salt and pepper to taste. Beat half and half and egg yolk and add to oyster liquor. Add oysters and bacon.
Cook slowly and stir constantly until oysters are plump. Serve on toast.
