adapted from Mrs Wilkes’ Famous Recipes
1 green bell pepper
1 medium yellow onion
2 stalks celery
1 lb fresh crab meat
½ cup bread crumbs
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp mayonnaise
(to be really retro add 1 tbsp ketchup
Dice bell pepper, onion and celery. Sauté until golden brown in a mixture of olive oil and a little butter.
In a bowl, combine all other ingredients and mix well.
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Spoon a generous but not heaping amount into ceramic crab shells and bake for 20 minutes.
Serve as a first course with white wine or vodka.
