Peas with Garlic and Thyme

1 teaspoon crushed garlic
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
10 oz bag of frozen peas
2/3 cup water
2 teaspoons fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste

Cook garlic in butter in a samll saucepan over moderately low heat, stirring, until garlic turns pale golden, about 2 minutes.

Add peas and water to another saucepan and cook until tender, about 5 to 6 minutes. Drain and then return to pan. Stir in salt, thyme, garlic in butter and season with pepper. Heat through and then serve.
