8 freshly picked apples, peeled and sliced
1 pomegranate, remove skin and light colored membrane
1/2 cup brown sugar, or to taste
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons flour
Peel the pomegranate. Separate the arils from the membrane. Combine peeled and sliced
apples with the arils, add sugar, flour and spices. Toss well and put into a 9-inch prepared (raw)
pie crust. Cover with a top crust. Brush with pomegranate juice and sprinkle with sugar. Make several slits to vent the pie.

Bake for 45 minutes at 375°F or until it is a beautiful golden colored, cool and serve with vanilla ice cream.
