Mother's Chocolate Pecan Pie

Mom has never baked much but she will make this pie several times a year, especially in the Fall after the pecans are harvested. If she has to go to a party or luncheon and is asked to bring a desert, this is what she brings. She has several friends who request this for their birthdays. It's on my top 5 list for deserts.

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon corn meal
2 whole eggs
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup chocolate morsels
1 unbaked pie shell

Melt butter. Add sugar and corn meal. Mix well. Add beated eggs. Mix thoroughly. Add nuts, vinegar, chocolate morsels and vanilla. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 325°F for 40-50 minutes.
